Your favourite animal (speaking)

This is a bit more tricky to find links to various sites or articles as this is something very personal. What I have tried to do is give you some pointers as to where some information can be found. Also I’ve concentrated on 5 most common favourites people have. Appologies if yours is not one of these.

According to a fellow ‘WordPress’ bloger they are:

  1. Kakapo
  2. Tiger
  3. African elephant
  4. Grey wolf
  5. Polar bear
 Describe your favourite animal
  1. What kind of animal is it?
  2. Describe it briefly
  3. Why do you like the animal?
  • What do you need to do to take care of it?
  • What’s the future trend of the animal?
  • How do you think of the poaching of some precious animals such as pandas?

General vocabulary for describing animals:

1 Kakapo:,,

Itisalso importantto use the correct vocabulary to describe the bird. The third link above will provide you with some. Here are some more: (the 4th page gives good general vocabulary for different parts of a bird) (a more detailed picture of a bird, for IELTS it is not important to know all the little details of a bird) (again too much detail)

I have tried to find a simpler list of words desribing birds, but it seems rather difficult on internet. Please let me know if you find anything.

2: Tigre 3: African Elephant 4: Grey Wolf 5: Polar Bear
